Downtown
Downtown Atlanta is roughly bound by North Avenue to the north, Piedmont Avenue and I-75 to the east, Martin Luther King Junior Drive, Courtland Street, and Edgewood Avenue to the south, and the railroad tracks to the west.
Known as Atlanta's newest neighborhood, Downtown offers an intown experience with its bustling metropolis imbued with Southern hospitality. Helpful Downtown Ambassadors patrol streets assisting the 24-hour city. The Atlanta skyline is a beautiful sight, and it wouldn't exist without the many buildings that make up Downtown. If you're a sports fan, head Downtown; the Falcons, Braves, Hawks, and Thrashers all call the area home. Although the area is the city's primary business and financial district, there also are restaurants, shops, loft apartments, art galleries, and cultural experiences at your fingertips.
