Marietta Street Artery

Marietta Artery, also referred to as the Upper Westside of Atlanta, is one of the city's most progressive communities.

Marietta Street Artery

The area once was home to factories, industry, railroads and houses, but today, after several developers saw the potential in the many historical buildings, Marietta Artery is comprised of artists' galleries, residential buildings, boutiques, office complexes, and restaurants.

The area tends to attract creative types, partially due to its many galleries, studios, and loft spaces, but it is also home to students, professionals, and businesses owners. Most notably, the King Plow Arts Center and the Ashby Street Trolley Barn are located in Marietta Artery. Residents of this trendy area share their shopping and favorite eating spots with visitors from across the city.

The Marietta Artery is located around three main routes: Marietta Street, Howell Mill Road, and Northside Drive. Its actual boundaries include the Atlanta Waterworks on the north side, the Georgia World Congress Center to the south, Georgia Tech to the east, and the most western side of the Howell Station neighborhood.
