With the addition of numerous condominium buildings and the construction of The Midtown Mile, it's population is on the rise. In addition, Midtown is the cultural and arts center of the city; the Woodruff Arts Center's expansion only makes Midtown's cultural presence that much stronger. It is a thriving area filled with restaurants, museums and the city's "common ground" of Piedmont Park, which hosts many events, including Screen on the Green, Atlanta Pride Festival, Atlanta Jazz Festival and more. The melting pot of commerce, cuisine and culture, Midtown mixes history with modern trends, and blends the old and new into a refreshing mix of hip and professional. Grady High, Inman Middle School, Morningside Elementary, and Georgia Tech are all found in Midtown.
