Reynoldstown was originally settled after the American Civil War mainly by freed slaves who were employed by the railroad. Reynoldstown has an array of many different home styles including an entire block of double shotgun houses on Chester Avenue. Reyonldstown oficially became part of Atlanta is 1909.
